Pamela Darlington
Principal
Miss Pam is a proud member of Bbodance. She began her own dancing journey at her local school with Bbodance and gained examinations up to and including Advanced Ballet, also taking classes in Tap, Modern and Jazz, before dancing professionally and travelling the world.
After an 8 year career as a professional dancer, Miss Pam relocated to Newquay to join her mum and dad, and opened her own dancing school in 1982. Over 40 years later Miss Pam is still as passionate and engaged as ever with her ‘dancing darlings’.
Miss Pam is honoured to be a Senior Examiner with Bbodance and regularly travels near and far in her capacity as an examiner, including Kenya, Kuwait, Australia, New Zealand, Malta and Spain, and always returns with renewed enthusiasm to share her knowledge with her own dancers and teachers.
Rebecca Old

Miss Becky began her dancing journey with Miss Pam and took Bbodance exams in Ballet, Tap and Modern. As a young student Becky was always keen to help the younger dancers and soon became a ‘student helper’. From a very young age it was obvious that Miss Becky was born to teach dance.
She then continued her studies at RAD HQ in London, gaining a BA Honours in Ballet Education. She then moved on to Roehampton University and achieved a Master’s in Ballet History.
Miss Becky is such a positive role model for all our dancers. Her dancing journey was never an easy one, but she persevered, and through determination, commitment and hard work she has blossomed into the caring, nurturing teacher you see before you today.
Alivia Coles
Miss Alivia first joined Pamela Darlington School of Dance as a 3-year-old cygnet. Moving up through classical ballet and modern exams, achieving distinction in every exam, it is an honour to have Miss Alivia back with us, teaching our students.
Miss Alivia brings with her a BA (Hons) degree in Dance and Choreography, and is currently studying the Level 5 Diploma in Dance Teaching with Bbodance, having recently achieved Level 4 with Distinction and The Shirley Matheson Cup for Most Promising Young Teacher at Dance Days in April 2024.
Emily Jesson
Miss Emily began her journey at the age of 5 years at Pamela Darlington School of Dance, where she discovered her passion for dance. After furthering her education at Laine Theatre Arts, Miss Emily created an illusion act with her brother called Matricks Illusion at the age of 8. Their performances include reaching the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, performing at Wembley Arena, many other TV appearances, UK theatre tours and shows in the West End.
Emily now has the joy of teaching Commercial Dance at Pamela Darlington, inspiring students of all ages with her expertise and enthusiasm for the Arts.
Charlotte Wilde
Admin Support
Charlotte is our admin support at the dance school, and is often found with her camera in hand taking photos for our social media pages during classes. You will also find her behind our Saturday Shop desk, welcoming new parents and selling dance shoes, leotards and accessories for students to wear in classes and examinations.
Just like the teachers, Charlotte also began her dance journey at Pamela Darlington School of Dance. She joined aged 3, having just watched her older sister perform as a cygnet at Miss Pam’s first ever Showtime back in 1984, while her dad supported the backstage crew at the Cosy Nook Theatre and her mum sewed the costumes.
